Nonesuch Distillery is the first Tasmanian Distillery to produce this style. Distiller Chris has created a remarkable whisky based on a bourbon grain bill of corn, rye, barley that he has tweaked for Aussie tastes.
Naturally the exact ratio of each grain used is a closely guarded secret.
We Pot-distilled the spirit and it was then matured in a cask coopered in Tasmania from a select ex-bourbon barrel from the U.S.
Each grain highlights the others in the mash bill. The peppery spiciness of the rye balances the sweeter, vanilla flavours of the corn and both enhance the mellowness of the barley.
Available in 500ml bottle that is individually numbered and cask identified. Bottled at a mouth-filling 45% A.B.V.
