This Single Malt Whisky is a pure expression of our craft, distilled on our small copper pot still and matured in a small cask to unlock depth and character. Made from 100% malted barley, it’s a whisky that’s focused, expressive, and unmistakably Nonesuch.
The Nonesuch Single Malt
Our Single Malt is where tradition and hands-on craftsmanship meet.
Built on a foundation of 100% malted barley, this style allows us to showcase the true character of the grain, shaped by our distillation approach and the influence of small cask maturation. It’s a style that strips things back, no distractions, just malt, oak, and time working together.
Batch ND129 continues that philosophy, delivering a whisky that’s rich, balanced, and driven by flavour.
The Grain

Maturation
Matured in a small ex-Bourbon casks, carefully selected to maximise interaction between spirit and oak.
The smaller format accelerates maturation, allowing the whisky to develop:
- Enhanced texture and mouthfeel
- Layers of vanilla, oak, and subtle spice
- A deeper, more concentrated flavour profile
All while keeping the malt character front and centre.

Every step is hands-on at our family distillery in Tasmania from mash to bottle. We make whisky we’re proud to drink ourselves, and nothing leaves the distillery unless it earns its place.
